Dr. Ilupeju is the current President and Chairman of the Yoruba Community of Massachusetts Inc.
Fatai has a dual Degree in Medicine and Dentistry. He currently works as an Anesthesiologist and Cap Anesthesia, PLC. He was a shareholder with Anesthesia Associates of Massachusetts and has worked in several Hospitals in Massachusetts, including, Boston Medical Center, Faulkner-Brigham Hospital, New England Batist Hospital, Mount Auburn Hospital, St. Lukes Hospital in New Bedford and Cape Cod Hospital at Falmouth Massachusetts.
He also holds a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1990. He completed his Anesthesia Residency at the Boston University Medical Center program in Anesthesiology in 1998; He is Board Certified by the ABA since 1999 and has been involved with Academic and Clinical Anesthesia service since then.
Fatai currently works at Atrius Health and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, where he is currently the Chief of Department of Anesthesia. He is married to Fausat M. Ilupeju RN, Med, and they are blessed with three Children.
Ajibola is an Engineer by training. He is the 1st President of Yoruba Community of Mass. Inc.
Ajibola worked for over 30 year in technology development industries, IBM Digital Equipment and Wang Laboratories.
Chief Osinubi holds the title of Aare Bobagbimo from His Royal Majesty Oba Okunade Sijuwade.
He is happily married with children and grandchildren. He resides in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
Chief Ayo was the 2nd President of Yoruba Community of Massachusetts Inc. He became the Chief Odofin of Igangu, Omu-Aran, Nigeria in 2022.
He is a Medical Technologist at many of the local Hospital’s in Boston area, and work as the Evening Shift Supervisor.
He always maintains a strong connection to the Yoruba Cultures and has a good rapport with members of the Yoruba Community.
Chief Ayo is happily married to Engr. Bolade Yakubu-Owolewa and blessed with four adult children. He enjoys travel and photography and resides in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Olajide is a Former President, Treasurer, and Founding Member of Yoruba Community of Massachusetts. Founding Member of the Nigerian American Multi-Service Association (NAMSA). Founder and President of Urban Books and Technology, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity devoted to promoting education among our youth.
He is happily married to Suzanne Ogungbadero and resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
James holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Framingham State University. He is a business owner, home owner, notary public and Massachusetts Justice of the Peace.
He was one of the pioneers of the Nigerian American Multi-Services Association (NAMSA), cofounded the Yoruba Community of Massachusetts (YCM) which he also previously served as treasurer and vice chairman. James is a member of the Hyde Park Main Streets Association (HPMS), an advisory board member of Hyde Park Art Association and is currently the president of Jamakex International Company DBA Hyde Park Business Center in Boston, MA.
His philanthropic endeavors also reached out of the African community and branches to organizations including Jeremiah Ministry, Inc, Boston Guild for the Hard of Hearing, Massachusetts Justice of the Peace Association (MJPA), National Association of the Peace (jpUS.org), and National Notary Association (NNA).
James has been an incredible asset to the Greater Boston community and more specifically the Hyde Park Neighborhood. He is happily married to Sola Oyedele and blessed with four children and 4 grandchildren. He resides in Hyde Park, Massachusetts.
Shola is one of the founding Directors, 1st General Secretary, and then a Treasurer of YCM. He has played a major role in stabilizing the organization since inception in 1994. He is currently the Compliance Director of Yoruba Community.
He is a humanitarian who cares so much for the poor and the underserved in our global communities through his charitable organizations as the CEO of Communitywide Charities Inc., USA and Communitywide FoodBank, Lagos, Nigeria.
He is into Accounting Outsourcing, Healthcare, and Real Estate Development. He brings more than 30 years of experience in Management Accounting, Taxes, Products and Services development. He is driven and strong in implementation of ideas-to-fruition to assist any company in achieving their mission and profitability goals.
Shola holds an MBA-Accounting major and he is happily married to Comfort O. Muyide, RN, MSN and blessed with four adult children. He enjoys reading, learning, teaching, walking, and resides in Milton, Massachusetts.
Abayomi is a Broker and founder of New Dawn realty, retired from Mass General Brigham Faulkner. Full-time pastor at The Apostolic Church Glorious Vision USA. Brockton Assembly, Massachusetts.
Adesola was born in Ibadan to the family of Papa Samuel and Mama Sarah Oyewole. She came from a family of educators. Adesola trained as an educator. She is a resilient worker and a skillful communicator.
She demonstrates a rare expertise in quickly understanding the totality of situations and what to be done in resolving complex issues. She is a Teacher at the Boston Public School and a great team player. She is a mother of 3 lovely children and grandchildren.
Josephine Modupe Olupona is a retired nurse, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, which she earned in 2013. Prior to that she had earned an associate degree in nursing in 2002. She also earned a Master’s degree in education at Framingham State University Massachusetts in 1983. She graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a BSc in home economics in 1976.
Josephine worked for many years as an ENT nurse at U.C. Davis Medical Center in California and as a medical surgical nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Massachusetts. She retired as a nurse after some years spent working in college health nursing at Tufts University. In Nigeria before moving to America, she was a teacher and vice-principal of a high school in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Josephine is married to Professor Jacob K. Olupona and blessed with four children. She loves to travel, enjoys cooking and beading and being active and involved in her community.
Bisi is in the HealthCare industry. Program Coordinator at Mass Eye and Ear; Mass General Brigham Hospital.
She resides at Dorchester, Massachusetts.
